What you will do:

1. Create a visual representation of the color scheme of your design. You need to represent the ENTIRE show, not just the two characters for which you will eventually be designing. Your color palette could be a painting found during your research, paint chips from the hardware store, something that you create or any other representation of color.

2. Choose a scene/moment from your assigned script–preferably one containing both characters. Submit 3-5 rough sketch options for EACH of the characters for which you are designing. Explore your research and silhouettes/choices to communicate character to the audience. Remember that your goal is to communicate the personality of your character visually. Consider the Elements of Design, and the Goals of an Effective Stage Costume.

3. NOW you are designing. Have fun!

What you will turn in:

1. Your color palette.

2. Your sketches.
